CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: NEW MASTER PROGRAM IN HEALTH SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
The School of Public Health of the University of Rwanda, College of Medicines and Health Sciences (UR-CMHS/SPH), in partnership with the EAC Regional Centre of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization and Health Supply Chain Management (EAC RCE-VIHSCM) will launch a new Master Program in Health Supply Chain Management as of the upcoming 2017/2018 academic year.
The Master explores the organisational and managerial foundations of a modern Health Supply Chain Management for health products and technology System with emphasis on the socio-economic context of the EAC member States.
The programme is an intensive, blended learning opportunity that combines policy and theoretical concepts as well as practical prescriptions with applied assignments and research work for a total duration of two years (of which only ten weeks involve mandatory classroom attendance while the rest of the study/research period can be pursued from the students’ home base).
The programme prepares the participants to better undertake a range of executive and managerial functions connected with global health supply chain management.
The Master is specifically designed to meet the needs of today’s supply chain policy makers, researchers and managers who have to deal with increasingly dynamic systems of vaccines, immunization and health supply chain.
The unique learning path offered by this programme through a succession of distance learning, face-to-face interactive learning and applied research ensures an optimal transfer of competences while minimising disruption of the participants’ on- going job obligations at home.
