Barry Chovitz
Barry Chovitz has worked in pharmaceutical supply chain management since 1991. He has long-term technical and project management experience in Tanzania, Namibia, and Mozambique and short-term technical and project management experience in Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Nigeria, Romania, Senegal, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia.
During that time, he has managed supply chain activities including developing strategies, preparing annual work plans and budgets, designing supply chain distribution, inventory control, and information systems, developing commodity forecasts and supply plans, and developing tools for supply chain supervision as well as stand-up training.
From 2015-2017, he managed projects focused on nutrition and WASH. In April 2017, he joined the Chemonics International Global Health Supply Chain-Procurement and Supply Management project and is currently the Technical Director, Strategy & Design, on the Health Systems Strengthening team.
