Caroline Barber
Ms. Barber is chief executive at Transaid and has worked in transport and international development for over 14 years. Prior to becoming chief executive, she was Transaid’s head of programmes where she was responsible for Transaid’s current programmes as well as developing new partnerships and opportunities. Here Ms. Barber managed a programmes portfolio spanning seven countries and covering transport management, community managed transport, emergency transport, rural access, and professional driver training. She continues to provide technical assistance to programmes in Madagascar, Nigeria and Zambia. Transaid’s current programmes are funded by donors such as DFID, USAID and MMV as well as private sector European logistics companies. Ms. Barber started her career with Wincanton logistics where she previously held roles in project management, implementation and business development.
