Mr. Patrick Gaparayi leads the People and Policy Unit within the Supply Chain Strengthening Centre (SCSC) in UNICEF Supply division in Copenhagen, Denmark since October 2019. Prior to joining UNICEF, Mr. Gaparayi contributed in different capacities to strengthening pharmaceutical systems and public health supply chain in Rwanda, Burundi, Afghanistan, DRC, and Angola (Management Sciences for Health, 2007-2016), and in Cameroon (Chemonics International, 2016-2019). 

A pharmacist by profession (University of Rwanda, 2005), Mr. Gaparayi holds an International Master's degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (Pompeu Fabra University, 2012), a Post-graduate Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management (Roehampton University, 2016) and a mini-Masters certificate in global procurement and supply management (W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, 2019). He is fluent in English and French, has a working proficiency in Portuguese, and is a national of Rwanda.
