Sarah Penniman-Morin

Sarah Penniman-Morin is the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) at Catholic Relief Services (CRS). Sarah joined CRS in 2015 after managing medical and health product supply chains in development and emergency settings around the world with Population Services International (PSI) and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). In her fifteen+ years in this sector, Sarah has worked in every node of supply chain – from procurement to distribution – a breadth of experience that helps her to appreciate the diversity of staff skills and experiences required to run a great supply chain. As Senior Director of GSCM at CRS, Sarah’s job is to advance measurable continuous improvement for supply chain, design and align the global supply chain strategy to the organisational vision and ensure CRS Country Programs and partners are robustly supported in their supply chain work. In addition to her work experience, Sarah has a Master’s of Science in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), a Master’s of Engineering in Supply Chain and Logistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Program, and a B.A. in International Economics and Development from George Washington University. For her MSPH thesis, she explored the links between health promotion and supply chain in a paediatric ACT distribution campaign in South Sudan. For her MEng thesis, she partnered with a humanitarian NGO to develop inventory modelling to improve purchasing and distribution of essential commodities in complex humanitarian operations.
