Stephen heads the Demand and Supply Planning Team at the Supply Chain Management Unit of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund. A pharmacist by training, his career has evolved over 18 years, providing technical leadership in various public health programmes. Notable spheres impacted include pharmaceutical supply chain and regulatory systems strengthening, clinical research, family planning, sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support and malaria.

Before joining UNFPA in 2015, Stephen worked with Management Sciences for Health and the Makerere University-Walter Reed Project, an affiliate to the US HIV Military Research Program. He also consulted with the World Health Organization and the World Bank/ International Finance Corporation’s Health in Africa Initiative.
