Wilson Chandomba
Wilson Chandomba is passionate about improving access to affordable, quality, safe, and efficacious medicines for all communities, including those in hard-to-reach areas. He is making a significant impact in health supply chain systems strengthening by promoting adherence to Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP) and rolling out capacity-building programmes.
He believes that medical products must be delivered on time to where they are needed. Stakeholders at different stages of the supply chain must exercise due care and diligence to ensure that the physical integrity and safety of medical products is maintained throughout the supply chain, particularly during transit and up to last-mile delivery.
As the Founder and Managing Consultant of CMCOMMS Supply Chain Quality Assurance, Wilson has utilised his hands-on experience and expertise within the pharmaceutical industry to design, develop, and implement the CMCOMMS Medical Logistics Practitioner Training Programme. The programme is accredited by the Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe, The CPD Group (UK), the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) seal, and is recognised by the Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ), a WHO Maturity Level 3 regulatory authority.
Wilson’s extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry spans 26 years in Sub-Saharan Africa, covering areas such as regulatory compliance, product registration, regulatory audits, procurement, customs handling, imports, exports, freight forwarding, inventory management, quality assurance, manufacturing, and downstream distribution up to last-mile delivery.
