People that Deliver (PtD) will be closing its doors at the end of the year. This means that its role as the STEP 2.0 hub, which includes overseeing programme implementations and monitoring and evaluation, managing the programme communications and coordinating between donors, implementing partners and countries – will come to an end.
The PtD website – with its array of STEP 2.0 resources – will stay online throughout 2026 and all partners are welcome to make use of the STEP 2.0-related and unrelated resources. But from 2026 the management of the STEP 2.0 programme will no longer reside with PtD.
Who will manage the STEP 2.0 programme from 2026?
PtD will continue to coordinate the STEP 2.0 programme until the end of December 2025. From January 2026, IFPW Foundation will manage STEP 2.0 programme operations and from January, your STEP 2.0 focal points for all enquiries will be:
Christ Goetz: IFPW Foundation, executive vice president, chris.goetz@ifpwfoundation.org
Goerge Bray: IFPW Foundation, Programs & Services, vice president, george.bray@ifpwfoundation.org
What does this mean for countries, donor organisations and implementing partners?
Implementing partners (IPs) are encouraged to fundraise for programmes. Given the reduced international development funding, IPs should communicate directly with countries if they wish to implement programmes. The STEP 2.0 checklist is one resource that can be used if countries express an interest in the programme. PtD has also produced numerous impact reports, case studies, maps and graphics – these can used by IPs to help to generate country demand. These resources can be found on the STEP 2.0 page and in the resources section of the PtD website by searching for STEP 2.0.
IPs are also advised to adhere to the STEP 2.0 style guide to maintain the consistency and integrity of the programme.
Where will the STEP 2.0 vault be housed?
From January 2026 the STEP 2.0 vault will be housed and maintained by IWPF Foundation. IPs should contact Chris or George for access.
Are any programmes are planned for 2026?
IFPW Foundation is planning to fund two programmes in the second half of 2026 and is currently fundraising for programmes. If you are able to support IFPW’s fundraising efforts, please contact Chris or George.
