PtD is looking for a Project Officer

The incumbent, under the supervision of the People that Deliver (PtD) Capacity Development Specialist, will support the communications and research efforts of the PtD Secretariat. The purpose of the assignment is to:

  • Support the implementation of PtD's mission, vision and strategic goals
  • Support PtD's country based approach

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Advocacy

  • Support PtD's advocacy efforts in HR for health SCM through the development of advocacy materials, and advocating PtD's strategic vision at meetings and country visits at UNICEF SD, and other key SCM conferences, events, and regional meetings

Communications

  • Responsible for PtD's communications efforts, documented in PtD's publications workplan
  • Development of a publications workplan
  • Design and develop systems for improved coordination and information sharing with and between donors, partners, and external stakeholders
  • Development and dissemination of briefing and presentation materials, abstracts, country case studies, success stories, and technical reports
  • Development of the PtD membership strategy and maintenance of the membership database
  • Maintenance of the PtD website and updates to social media (LinkedIn and Twitter)
  • Development of monthly newsletter (NewsFlash)
  • Management of PtD email inbox
  • Organization and maintenance of internal files

Research

  • Support PtD's research efforts in documenting evidence in HR for health SCM
  • Monthly literature searches on new and upcoming publications in the area of human resources for supply chain management
  • Update and maintain the Comprehensive Stepped Approach document
  • Development and dissemination of PtD guidance documents, resources and tools

Facilitating Coordination and Collaboration

  • Support and coordinate PtD Board meetings
  • Responsible for coordinating all logistical aspects of major PtD events and activities
  • Support planned south-to-south exchanges and activities
  • Organize and coordinate meetings with country and partner visits:
    • drafting agendas according to identified needs of government and partners
    • liaise with relevant departments to arrange hospitality and administrative support for meetings and country visits
