You now have until 24 November to submit your abstract for the PtD Global Indaba conference

People that Deliver (PtD) has extended the abstract submission deadline for the PtD Global Indaba. Prospective participants now have until 24 November to submit their abstracts through the Global Indaba website.

The theme of the conference, which will be held from 6-8 March 2023 is The supply chain workforce: Solutions to transform health supply chains. All presentations, panel discussions and workshops will centre on skills, staffing, motivation and working conditions – the four pathways in PtD’s Building human resources for supply chain management Theory of Change – and there will be a keen focus on a few select topics, including emergency preparedness, public-private partnerships and establishing acceptable qualifications and accreditation to oversee and regulate the supply chain profession (see full list here).

Abstracts can be presented at the PtD Global Indaba in one of four ways: oral presentations typically last 20 minutes and can focus on one of two areas: evidence-based solutions with actual results or future-focused solutions to transform health supply chains. Panel discussions should comprise up to four people from different organisations who – over one hour – exchange their ideas on a particular topic, such as those listed here.

Participants may also opt to hold a workshop. Workshops are interactive and require participants to adopt new approaches or information to their country context during the session. There will also be a dedicated time and space at the Global Indaba in Bangkok for poster presentations. Presenters will be expected to succinctly explain their evidence-based solution or future-focused solutions to participants. These presentations should be designed to spark interest in your initiative and lead to more in-depth conversations.

Registration is also open and if you are interested in sponsoring the event, please contact info@upavon.co.za.

The second edition of the PtD Global Indaba will take place at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok, Thailand, between 6 and 8 March 2024. On Friday 8 March a half day will be focused on and organised by the International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL), entitled Creating the Future Together with IAPHL.

PtD is hosting the Global Indaba alongside Mahidol University’s Center for International Healthcare Logistics and Supply Chain (Health CLARE), the International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL), Management Sciences for Health (MSH), Pharmaceutical Systems Africa and Upavon Management
