Like People that Deliver (PtD), the International Association of Public Health Logisticians (IAPHL) believes that knowledgeable and empowered public health supply chain professionals and managers are central to improving health outcomes and achieving universal health access.
For more than 15 years, IAPHL has been the community of choice for connection, networking and knowledge sharing, promoting best practices, standardisation and professionalism in the field of public health and humanitarian contexts.
This is why IAPHL is a key partner of the People that Deliver Global Indaba, taking place in Bangkok from 6-8 March 2024 and will host a session on 8 March entitled Creating the future together with IAPHL.
The conference – the only global conference on human resources for supply chain management – will provide a great platform to present and exchange expert ideas and insights that have emerged to help build and develop the workforce of the future.
The theme of the conference is human resources for supply chain management solutions to transform health supply chains. PtD has extended the abstract submission deadline to 24 November and early-bird registration is now open. More information about abstracts can be found here.
The PtD Global Indaba 2024
The Global Indaba will be a space to present and share the significant experiences and knowledge that has been generated in this area in recent years.
It offers a unique opportunity for the IAPHL community to pool ideas to contribute to the development of a future in which health supply chain workforces are empowered and equipped to maximise health outcomes by improving access to health commodities.
“We are looking forward to hearing from our members: after all it is they who are both the present and the future of the supply chain workforce,” said Timilehin Omole, executive director of IAPHL.
“It’s important to understand how they’re working to overcome challenges and the IAPHL open session at the Indaba gives us a unique opportunity to unite and speak with one voice, in order to highlight common priorities and needs,” he said.
IAPHL open session
On Friday 8 March, IAPHL will host a half-day open session for both members and non-members to bond. This session – Creating the future together with IAPHL – will be IAPHL's very first in-person membership gathering and offers a chance to provide direct feedback to the secretariat and the opportunity to share solutions to help forge the supply chain workforce of the future.
Building on the two and half days of the Global Indaba, Creating the future together with IAPHL will help IAPHL to continue to grow as a community and extend the Indaba conversions around the future of the workforce.
We are the workforce
IAPHL is a community of over 8,000 health logisticians and supply chain professionals from nearly 150 countries. Thousands of association members leverage their access to our community of practice to mutually build public health supply chain competencies.
